Awards & Prizes


The Royal Road Race recognizes competitive males and females in the Open & Masters categories including overall winners.

The guaranteed prize purse for the Royal Road Race 2025 will total $4,000.00

Order of finish for prize money will be determined by gun time.

Age-group Divisions:

Open: 39 & under

Masters: 40 years of age or older

The first three male and female runners in the 5km & 10km Open Division, as well as the first male and female finishers in the Masters Division (40+ ) will each receive a cash prize.

10km Open Division 39 & under:  Finish Position, equal for men and women:

1st $350
2nd $250
3rd $175
Total  = $775 Men  + $775 Women = $1550

10km Masters Division: Finish Position (40+ years of age or older; equal for men and women):

1st $200
2nd $150
3rd $100
Total  = $450 Men  + $450 Women = $900

5km Open Division 39 & under: Finish Position, equal for men and women:

  • 1st          $200
  • 2nd        $150
  • 3rd         $100
  • Total = $450 Men + $450 Women = $900

5km Masters Division: Finish Position (40 years of age or older; equal for men and women.   

  • 1st         $100
  • 2nd       $75
  • 3rd        $50
  • Total =  $225 Men +  $225 Women = $450

Note: Masters winners are allowed to "double-dip" (i.e. they can win in both open and masters categories).

 In recognition of Mother’s Day, the first, second and third place mother's in each of the 5 km and the 10 km runs will receive flowers and Sparkle Ball earrings from Hillberg & Berk.

Note: $100 will be awarded for new course record set (winner only) for both Men & Women in the 5km and 10km
